Why is MatchPlanner free?

Because it grew out of a coach’s own week – as the tool that didn’t exist in this form. It keeps being developed because it is in use on the pitch every week, not because there is a business model behind it.

So how does MatchPlanner make money?

Right now, it doesn’t. MatchPlanner is an independent project with no ads, no selling of data and no investors demanding monetisation. Your data sits on servers in Germany and belongs to your team.

Will it stay that way?

MatchPlanner is built as a free product, and there are no plans for paid features. Should the model ever change, you will hear about it early and openly in the app – not in the small print.

Do I have to enter payment details?

No. Signing up asks for a display name, an e-mail address and a password, nothing else. There is nothing to cancel either, because there is no subscription.
